On Friday, 24 July at 9:00 PM, the Basilica of Superga welcomes I Polifonici del Marchesato, the acclaimed choir conducted by Maestro Enrico Miolano.
Founded in Saluzzo in 1986, the choir has become one of the leading choral ensembles in Piedmont, performing more than six hundred concerts in Italy and abroad. Its extensive repertoire spans five centuries of sacred and secular music, ranging from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary works.
Since 1991, the ensemble has been led by Maestro Enrico Miolano, a graduate in Choral Music and Choir Conducting from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Turin. Alongside his conducting career, he is actively engaged in music education and the artistic direction of major cultural initiatives.
Set within the inspiring atmosphere of the Basilica of Superga, the concert offers an opportunity to experience the beauty and expressive power of choral music in one of Turin's most iconic landmarks.
Admission is free, subject to available seating.
The concert is part of the Basilica's summer evening openings. Until midnight, visitors may freely explore the Basilica and the Chapel of the Vow. With the appropriate admission ticket, they may also visit the Museum and climb to the Panoramic Dome, where breathtaking night-time views of Turin await.
