Superga Express: new line from central Turin

From 17 May 2026, the experimental GTT Superga Express service will be active for 6 months, operating on Sundays and public holidays.

The line provides a direct connection from Piazza Vittorio Veneto to the Basilica of Superga, also serving intermediate stops at Ricasoli and Sassi.

Services run approximately every 40 minutes, from 9:30 am to 8:20 pm, with round trips scheduled in line with the Basilica opening hours.

The service operates only on holidays and temporarily replaces the 79/ holiday line.

The line connects Piazza Vittorio Veneto with the Basilica of Superga, running approximately every 40 minutes with intermediate stops at Ricasoli and Sassi. From April 3rd, 2026, the Sassi - Superga tramway is back in service. Runs operate every hour: uphill from 10:00 to 18:00 and downhill from 10:30 to 18:30. The service does not operate on Wednesdays: line 79/ is available as an alternative.
