Temporary Closure of the Panoramic Dome During Periods of High Temperatures

The Basilica of Superga informs visitors that access to the Panoramic Dome may be temporarily suspended during periods of exceptionally high temperatures.

When temperatures exceed 32°C (89.6°F), conditions along the access route and within the Dome can become particularly demanding. For this reason, in order to safeguard the health, comfort and safety of visitors and staff, the management may decide to temporarily close the attraction.

This measure is adopted only during periods of intense heat and for the time strictly necessary until more suitable conditions are restored.

Visitors are kindly invited to check the availability of the Dome visit before arriving at the monumental complex.

From Saturday 27 June 2026, the Sassi - Superga Tram operates on its summer timetable. From Monday to Friday, services run every hour from 10:00 to 18:00, with the last downhill departure from Superga at 18:30. The service is not available on Wednesdays. On Saturdays, the service is extended with hourly departures from 9:00 to 23:00, last departure from Superga at 23:30. On Sundays and public holidays, trams run hourly from 9:00 to 20:00, with last descent at 20:30.
