Trail 29 starts from Corso Casale, at the foot of the Turin hillside, and leads to the Basilica of Superga, alternating flat sections, ups and downs, and steep climbs. After the first stretch, the trail begins to climb steadily until it reaches a junction where Trail 28 branches off to the right. Trail 29 continues to the left, with a gentle descent leading to another fork; here, the left turn for the Trail 60A link should be ignored, continuing instead to the right.
From this point, the trail climbs through a series of switchbacks to another junction, where a small road on the right leads to the Strada Comunale di Superga. The 29 continues to the left along a long contour path until it reaches another fork: the connection to Trail 60 is on the left, but the route continues to the right onto the “29 stairs,” a long and steep climb through nature.
At the top, you reach a junction where Trail 60 joins from the left, while Trail 29 proceeds to the right. A few meters further, on the right, is a link to Trail 28. Continue instead up the steep path to the left, reaching another fork: to the left is the connection to Trail 63, while the 29 continues to the right with a gentler incline, arriving at another junction where Trail 63 joins again from the left.
Continue on 29 to the right to yet another fork marked by an information board: Trail 28 descends to the right, while 29 climbs to the left. A sharp left turn leads to another crossing near a biological treatment tank by a large building. Here, turning left leads to the Trail of the Trees (Sentiero degli Alberi), though passing by an old landfill.
Trail 29 instead continues to the right on a paved surface and reaches the gate of a villa. The trail turns left to another junction: a villa is on the left, while the route continues to the right under a cog railway bridge, now on asphalt, to a fork: the right path descends toward the Soperga hamlet, but the route continues to the left along a paved road beside the railway, ending at the rear of the Superga station.
Continue to the right, up a concrete staircase to a fork: to the left is the path to the station, while the right staircase leads up to the paved road connecting the Basilica square and the station. You're nearly there: continue uphill, keeping the Basilica on your left.
At the end of the road, turn left to enter the pedestrian area of the monumental complex of Superga — a perfect conclusion to this journey through the city, hillside, history, and nature.
