Celebration of Our Lady of Grace

Traditionally, September 8 marks the celebration day of the Basilica of Superga, which coincides with the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In preparation for this solemn occasion, you are warmly invited to take part in moments of silence, reflection, and prayer, which will be held in the Chapel of Our Lady of Grace within the Basilica itself. The ancient statue, dating back to 1624, stood on the hill of Superga long before the Basilica was built.

The Chapel of the Vow

The Chapel of the Vow The Chapel of the Vow houses the tabernacle containing the Eucharist and represents the spiritual heart of the Basilica of Superga. It commemorates both a historical event and the deep devotion of the House of Savoy to Our Lady of Grace. Here stands the original wooden statue, dating back to 1624, before which a vow was made for the liberation of the city of Turin in 1706.

The Prayer for the Sick

The Prayer for the Sick Every second Saturday of the month, we pray for all those who are ill. It is a simple prayer to which you are warmly invited — either to join the sick who are able to attend in person, or to pray for those who cannot, whether they are in hospital or confined at home. This prayer then becomes a celebration, with the opportunity to participate in the anticipatory Mass for Sunday.
